Our drum lessons provide an enriching experience for drummers of all abilities, from creating a strong foundation and honing technique to fostering creativity and rhythm.

The drums are a perfect instrument for aspiring musicians of all ages. Our students are a mix of ages from 5 years old to 65+. We constantly strive to keep lessons exciting and focused on the individual and their learning goals.

At Rockphonix we encourage a relaxed, informal teaching approach. Parents of younger students are welcome to sit in on sessions (if they can tolerate the noise!), as this can sometimes help them settle in the first few lessons.

Our drum lessons will help with: -

  • A Solid Foundation; our drum instructors will teach you the fundamentals of hand and foot coordination, appropriate grip, drum notation, and rhythm.
  • Tailored Learning Experience; tailored to individual learning styles and interests our teachers will assess your musical talents, shortcomings, and aspirations to build personalised lesson plan.
  • Improved Technique and Precision; we'll help you polish your technique and improve precision. This not only adds to your sound quality, but it also protects you from problems caused by bad posture or repetitive strain.
  • Enhanced Creativity and Musicality; we aim to promote creativity and musicality in addition to technical components. Your drum teacher will introduce you to new beats, patterns, and styles as you improve, extending your musical vocabulary.
  • Rhythmic Awareness and Timing; a good sense of rhythm and flawless time are two of the most important abilities a drummer must have. Through exercises and playing along with varied tunes, our lessons emphasise rhythmic awareness.
  • Performance Confidence; drum lessons help open up opportunities for performance, such as recitals or jam sessions, which can increase your confidence and stage presence.
